Winter Educational seminar
Newark GOLF CLUB
10th March 2010
The East of England Section Committee have arranged for the above seminar to take place as part of our educational programme for the year. The topics covered will include Irrigation, Rootzones for modern constructions and Course Consultancy. Four different speakers have been booked to attend and a course walk is planned for part of the morning session. The speakers attending are:
Marcus Morris (John Deere Irrigation)
Graham Williams (John Deere Irrigation)
Russell Latham (Mansfield Sands Ltd)
Peter Wisbey (Practical Turf Management)
Please arrive at 9am for a 9.30am start, and the seminar is expected to be finished by mid afternoon.
The cost for the day will be £10 per person (including lunch) and is open to all.
As we are hoping to carry out a course walk session attendees would be advised to bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. You are also reminded that the dress code of Newark GC is to be observed (smart casual please). Steve Hopkins is now available, Steve is seeking employment in Greenkeeping, and most of you who know Steve would agree he would be an asset to any Greenkeeping staff. Should you here of any vacancies available now or in the future please contact Steve Direct? Email stevehopkins318@btinternet.com or myself if Steve is unavailable. Steve is qualified to NVQ level 2 sports turf, & PA1/2 & 6. Steve is able to leave at anytime; however it would take approx 4 months to leave unless he has a written job offer when it would take 3 months... Many thanks. Gary Cooper
