Congratulations to Steve Beverly on the birth of his new daughter Violet, and all is well with mother and baby, now Archie will have a baby sister to play with.
After our recent conversation Steve assures me there will be a short break before the next little Beverley comes along, I’m sure his wife will be very pleased.

Congratulations are also in order to Allan walker on his appointment as new course manager at Lichhfield Golf & Country Club, welcome back to the real world Allan.
After my visit on Wednesday I have come to realise that Allan was not cutout to be a child minder as the children were beginning to pick up some bad drinking habits, McDonalds had also noticed a rise in profits?.
After a brief walk of the course, I found it to be very well planned out with great potential witch I am sure Allan will capitalise on in the near future.
After just one week the members and staff are praising Allan with just a couple of changes he has made to a very nice golf course.
I have already earmarked it for a possible Bigga venue for next year.

THE WINTER EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR TOOK PLACE TODAY AT NEWARK GOLF CLUB.
10TH MARCH 2010

There was a very good turnout with Greenkeepers and trade from all areas of the section.
We would like to extend our thanks to all the speakers for what turned out to be a very informative day.
Many thanks to G. MacDonald our newly elected Vice Chairman for the continued support of Newark Golf Club, and for filling in on the day while the Chairman was unable to attend, well done Graeme nice to hear English spoken again!
As always the food was excellent, there will be a few greenkeepers not managing their tea this evening.
Thank you to all who attended, we look forward to the next seminar.
